During my experience as a Township Trustee with my colleagues, we brought $30 million back to Canton for infrastructure and improvements, including 40+ miles of road repairs.
Under my team's leadership, Canton has implemented new priority-based budgeting and a comprehensive cost allocation plan to improve our financial stability. Going forward, we are creating a new economic plan to further improve the local economy by fostering strong partnerships with businesses.
One reason I love living in Canton is our beautiful and accessible natural environment. As trustee, I worked to reduce our township's carbon footprint through alternative energy, and I am proud of how we have made the Ford road area healthier with more native plants. In addition we created a nature preserve designation and have preserved over 130 acres of green space and we have plans to preserve more.
As a trustee, I fought to expand Canton's leisure services department. Going forward, there are plans to introduce new parks and green spaces and to expand our community, butterfly, and rain gardens. I also sit on the Leisure Services Advisory Committee which gives feedback and suggestions on programming.
My team updated Canton's fleet with new electric and hybrid vehicles and established a new technology committee. We are also working on a new electronic vehicle charging plan and better virtual options for conducting business with the township.
